After laying off many employees, Meta is urging many managers and directors to become individual contributor jobs or leave the firm as part of the process so that Meta becomes a more efficient organisation known as ‘flattening,’ as per the people familiar with the Moorabbin East safety sign.
An inside person in the organisation also mentioned that many higher-level managers are sharing the directive with their reports in the coming weeks, which are separate from the firm’s regular performance review process that is also happening in the workplace.
Further, the firm which owns Facebook and Instagram fired 13% of its employees in November during its first major layoff. For the past few months, all the employees from the firm are facing intense stress and anxiety about the potential future cuts to take place the future.
